Summary
Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocketplayers are requesting that its developers make the Sneak Peek feature a permanent addition to the mobile card battler. Acquiring the right card in one ofPokemon Trading Card Game Pocket’s Wonder Pick isn’t a guarantee, but fans are hoping that the development team will even the odds a little in their favor.
Wonder Picks inPokemon TCG Pocketallow players to scroll through a list of sets of five cards apiece. After selecting a set, the cards are flipped over and shuffled, and players have to play a guessing game as to which card will be added to their pool. Normally, this works out to a 20 percent chance of a player getting the card they wanted, which is not a high number considering that players can only pull two to five Wonder Picks every 24 hours, depending on the rarity of the most valuable card in each set of five.
However, those odds are raised slightly duringPokemon TCG Pocket’s Sneak Peekpromotions. For limited-time periods, each Wonder Pick has the chance to grant players use a magnifying glass that lets them take a peek at one of the concealed cards, effectively raising the odds of pulling the one they were after to 40 percent by process of elimination, if not revealing it outright with the magnifying glass. Fans of the game on social media seem thrilled with the feature, but they’re also questioning why DeNA and Creatures Inc. haven’t made it a permanent part of the mobile game.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Players Want Sneak Peeks Made Permanent
Most fans discussing Sneak Peek are highly in favor of it, though there are some skeptics who question the legitimacy of Wonder Picks altogether, speculating that the game may automatically grant the same card regardless of which card backside the player clicks on. There’s no evidence that this is the case, but even if it were, some have pointed out that Sneak Peek would force the game to offer a choice between two different cards at minimum per Wonder Pick in which the feature is activated. The addition of the feature could also be especially popular with the recent leak of anew miniset inPokemon TCG Pocket, which could have players hunting down rare cards featuring the Ultra Beasts.
The development team has been known to cater to fans' whims in the past. After large currency costs and restrictions on available cards severely hindered the game’s highly anticipated trading feature in its January release, players were far from silent about their disappointment. As a result, big changes are coming to trading inPokemon TCG Pocket, and while they may take until the end of autumn to arrive, players seem happy that they will eventually be rid of the unpopular Trade Token system.
