Pokemon TCG Pockethas teased its first immersive Supporter card. DeNA and The Pokemon Company’s digital trading card game primarily aims to streamline the physicalPokemon TCGexperience for mobile users. However, it sets itself apart with an innovative rarity type known as “immersive.” These cards feature short animations that bring the featured characters to life. Now, it looks likePokemon TCG Pocketis about to kick off a new trend with one of its upcoming immersive cards.

Pokemon TCG Pocket’s rarity systemclosely mirrors that of the physicalPokemon TCG, with common, rare, and art variants of Pokemon and Trainer cards, some featuring lower drop rates than others. Immersive cards fall into the ultra-rare category, with most having a drop rate below 1%. While they function the same as their regular counterparts, their scarcity makes them highly sought after. Many players are even willing to spend real money to collect them.

It looks likePokemon TCG Pocket’s Celestial Guardians(A3) expansion could drive a spike in microtransactions with the debut of the first-ever immersive Supporter card. Lillie is set to receive this unique treatment, and longtime fans know that series-first additions tend to carry extra value in TCG circles. Teased at the end of the Celestial Guardians announcement trailer, Lillie’s immersive card shows her in her iconic outfit—complete with her recognizable hat—though the animation is cut short, giving fans something to anticipate if they manage to pull the card.

Lillie is the First Immersive Support Card

TCG Pocket’s previous set, Shining Revelry, had already begun a new trend by introducing rare variants of non-Pokemon cards. The expansion surprised players with the series' first-ever crown-rarity Poke Ball card, an essential staple in nearly every deck. And given the upcoming set’s approach to immersive cards, it seems DeNA and The Pokemon Company are aiming to diversify rare cards with each new expansion.

Lillie’s three-star variant comes at a time whenPocket’s Professor Oak still lacks a two-star variant. Earlier this year, a group of players criticized the developers for overlooking the card and not giving it the full-art treatment many believe it deserves. While it’s unclear if the next expansion will finally address this, some fans are jokingly pushing back against the idea of a newcomer Supporter getting an immersive variant first. Still, theTCG Pocketcommunity seems excited about the Celestial Guardians set and eager to see the game’s first immersive Supporter card in action.
