AResident Evil 4fan has cosplayed as Ada Wong and shared the effort with fans of the game. The cosplay has received a lot of attention and praise from players, and is just one indication of Ada Wong’s star status amongResident Evil 4characters and the cast at large.
For much of theResident Evilseries,Ada Wong has been a mysterious characterthat follows her own rules. Sometimes Ada can be a big help to protagonists - typically Leon S. Kennedy - but she can also trick and backstab others if it works in her favor. The femme fatale’s appearance, combat prowess, and overall mystery has kept her in the minds of manyResident Evilfans, who are generally happy to see her pop up from time to time across the series' entries.
Over on Reddit, cosplayer KumaMori11 has shared a look at their cosplay of the iconicAda Wong. The cosplay look is based off of herResident Evil 4remake standard appearance where she wears a long-sleeved, high-necked, red mini-dress. KumaMori11 has replicated Ada’s look, with the dress, gun holsters, gloves, boots, and a pistol, for good measure. While the cosplayer’s boots differ from Ada’s with higher heels, platforms, and laces, overall, the entire look is very close to how Ada is depicted in-game.
Reddit Users Respond to Impressive Ada Cosplay
Numerous fans of the game have left comments for the cosplayer, with the vast majority praising the effort. One fan pointed out that the elevator the Ada cosplayer is posing in looks a lot like the laser hall inResident Evil 4, where Ada has to perform a series of well-timed acrobatics and grappling hook maneuvers in order to make it through the deadly lasers without getting sliced up. Another fan hoped that they would eventually see a cosplayer withAda’s iconic TMP SMGor grappling hook, to which KumaMori11 responded that maybe they would do it “sometime.”
While there was somecontroversy surrounding theResident Evil 4remake’s version of Ada Wong, it was primarily due to the vocal performance of the actor portraying her. Some fans were also disappointed that Ada didn’t wear her iconic long red dress from the originalResident Evil 4in the main campaign, but the alteration was made in order to make the game a little more realistic in her depiction, while still maintaining the overall trademark red aesthetic Ada has been known for since her introduction inResident Evil 2. While Ada’s involvement in future games is unknown for now, chances are the character’s appearances thus far will keep cosplayers inspired for many years to come.
