How to Find Meridia’s Shrine in Oblivion Remastered
Meridia’s Shrine can be found west of Skingradalong the road to Kvatch. Around the halfway point on the road to Kvatch, head north where players will be able to detect Meridia’s Shrine and interact with the followers there. They will instruct players to give an offering of an undead creature, which can be either:Bonemeal, Ectoplasm, or Mort Flesh. It’s important to note that players must be Level 10 or higher to actually start the quest.
How to Get Bonemeal, Ectoplasm, or Mort Flesh in Oblivion Remastered
Now that players are interested in speaking with Meridia, they are going to want to use either Bonemeal, Ectoplasm, or Mort Flesh. Playersonly need one of these items, and not all three. As such, we’ve listed the easiest ways to obtain each of the items, but for convenience, it’s probablybest just to get Bonemeal, as that’s the most common, and the item offered at the altar itself does not impact the quest or rewards in any way:
The ingredients listed above also have a high chance of being sold at The Main Ingredient, a shop found in the Imperial City’s Market District.
How to Kill the Necromancers in Howling Cave in Oblivion Remastered
Where to Find the Secret Door in Howling Cave
With one of the ritual items acquired, head to Meridia’s altar and place one of them as an offering to commune with Meridia herself. Meridia will task players with heading to Howling Cave and killing the necromancers inside. Howling Cave is found on the east side of Skingrad, just south of The Gold Road, but be warned, the five necromancers inside are no joke. As such, it’s a good idea to bring enchanted weapons, silver weapons,shock-resistant potions, and fire damage abilities.
Once inside Howling Cave, players must locate the secret door that can be found at the end of the northern passage, which opens automatically once players get close enough. It’s a good idea to try sneaking, or at least lure one necromancer out at a time, as they will overwhelm players with their high-damage magic spells, and the fact that they summon zombies, skeletons, and ghosts to fight alongside them. Try to bring plenty of potions of healing potions, as the Necromancers also have quite a few healing potions themselves.
The best way to kill the necromancers in Howling Cave is to focus on the necromancers and use potions to outheal the damage that the summoned enemies deal, because if the necromancer dies, so does the summoned thrall. There are around 5 necromancers scattered in Howling Cave, so try to locate and kill each of them one at a time, and retreat out of the Howling Cave if you need more supplies.
How to Get the Ring of Khajiiti in Oblivion Remastered
Once players have been successful in their fight against the necromancers of Howling Cave, players will receive a quest note that will pop up on their screens to inform them that none are left standing. After which, they can return to Meridia’s Shrine and receive her praise. It’s at this point that Meridia will give players the Ring of Khajiit, an item that can be equipped from the apparel section of the inventory screen as jewelry. Players can equip a total of two rings, and the Ring of Khajiiti will definitely be a useful one in the early game due to its stats, listed below:
Due to the Chameleon aspect of the Ring of Khajiiti, players will be translucent and somewhat invisible going forward, but they can still be seen by NPCs and hostiles.
