How To Compete in Horse Racing & Archery In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
To start Horse Racing and Archery, players must make their way west of Troskowitz to theNomad’s Camp. This is the same location where youfind your dog,Mutt, early on in the game. Upon arriving at the camp, you can talk toMikolaiorBibrek, who will be talking about either Archery or Horse Racing.
Upon talking to either NPC, you will start the questHorses for Courses. You will have to listen to both sides of the story to find out more about the history of the sport here, and can thenaccompany one of them to the altar. Mikolai will tell you that this is Zamur’s altar, and you must bow before the altar. However, before doing so, Bibrek will also arrive, claiming that the altar belongs to Karachin.you may either decide to favor one over the other, or can simply ease the tension between them, which leads to them putting up courses for you to try, and then decide who the altar belongs to.
Both of them have three challenges that you must complete. For the horse races, you must finish first in all three races, and for the mounted archery, you must outscore Bibrek’s score. The difficulty will rise up for every challenge, but they’ll still be quite easy to manage.
Tips for the Racing and Archery Challenges
For the horse racing, be sure to unlockHorse Racing,Wildrider, andFinal Stretch, as these will help you secure the first position easily. The first two races are quite simple and short, but the third race has four checkpoints, and you have to get back to the finish line. An easy way to make sure you are not taking the wrong path to the checkpoint is tostay close to the other contestants and match their speed. As you get close to the finish line, you canspeed up your horseand make use of the Final Stretch skill to ensure you get first place.
For the Mounted Archery, all three scores are quite easy to beat. Bibrek will mention that you must make your horse follow the path and not waste time if you miss a shot. This might work for some players, but an easier method I found was to simply slow down near the targets and ensure the shot hits perfectly. This makes it so that you can overtake the score in less than half the time.
Should You Side with Mikolai or Bibrek in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2?
After completing the challenges, talk to Mikolai or Bibrek, and you will go to the Altar. They will ask you to make your decision, and you will get two options to choose from. The choice here does not make a difference, as they will interrupt you before you give your verdict. Both of them will offer a technique they’ll teach you if you favor them, and also achanfron if you side with Karachin, and abridle if you go with Zamur.
You will get four dialogue choices here, and although you can side with one of them, the best decision is to choose the “To both!” option to ensure that you get both rewards. After this, you will have to pass a skill check, and they will ask you the names of their horse. The answer to this is “First of a Thousand and Tooth.” After a bit more arguing, they will give you the rewards and proceed to decorate the altar.
This will complete the Horses for Courses quest, andyou can now take part in races and mounted archery whenever you want.
They are a good way tolevel upHorsemanshipandArchery, and you can also place bets. For the bets, the winner takes all the winnings, and the second place only gets their stake back.
