It seems that Simmers may finally be receiving one of the most requested features forThe Sims 4.The Simsfranchise’s playerbase is one of the most dedicated and vocal in gaming. The advocacy of Simmers has led to features from previous titles inThe Simsfranchise to finally joinThe Sims 4. EA and Maxis have also been very receptive to player suggestions, constantly releasing polls for players sinceThe Sims 4debuted back in 2014.

When it comes to discussion aboutThe Sims 4, player opinion isn’t the only voice that runs rampant. Leaks forThe Sims 4are fairly common, with packs oftentimes being accidentally listed on sites constantly. If the most recent leak aboutThe Sims 4is true, not only will the game finally be adding a frequently requested feature, butThe Sims 4will encroach on the territory of one of its simulation genre competitors,Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Fairies May Be Flying to The Sims 4

As of writing, there are technically seven different Occult types inThe Sims 4: aliens, ghosts, mermaids, spellcasters, vampires, werewolves, and PlantSims. Most of these Occult types made their way intoThe Sims 4through either Game or Expansion Packs, though ghosts and PlantSims are present in the base game. As mentioned, accidental shop listings are one of the most frequent ways that new DLC forThe Sims 4is leaked to the public. Such is the case with theallegedly titled Enchanted By Nature Expansion Pack, which was listed on Instant Gaming. Along with the alleged title of the pack, a few images and a description of the pack also appeared on the website.

The main draw of the Enchanted By Nature Expansion Pack will allegedly be fairies, which players have beggedThe Simsteam to add toThe Sims 4for years. Likeother Occult types already present inThe Sims 4, fairies have already appeared inThe Simsfranchise throughThe Sims 3: Supernatural. This pack was also responsible for the addition of spellcasters and werewolves, and expanded upon vampires and ghosts inThe Sims 3. With other Occult types fromThe Sims 3: Supernaturalalready inThe Sims 4, the addition of fairies to the game was less of a question of “if” than “when.”

Disney Dreamlight Valley Is Missing One of Its Biggest Players

Similarly to Simmers,Disney Dreamlight Valleyplayers have been asking for fairies to join the hit IP-based simulation game for quite a while as well. Of course,Disney Dreamlight Valleyhasn’t been around for as long asThe Sims 4, and certainly notThe Simsfranchise, butDisney Dreamlight Valleyhas been similarly receptive to fan opinion likeThe Simsteam. The lack of fairies inDisney Dreamlight Valleyis quite surprising, as Tinkerbell acts as essentially one of Disney’s main mascots, only rivaled by Stitch and Mickey Mouse himself. It seems thatDisney Dreamlight Valleyhas noticed the lack of fairy content in the game, using the game’s currentGarden of Whimsy Star Pathto introduce items inspired by theDisney Fairiesfranchise into the game.

ThoughThe Sims 4, allegedly, is beatingDisney Dreamlight Valleyto the punch on the addition of fairy characters, there is an opportunity for fairies to joinDisney Dreamlight Valleyjust around the corner. Back in November 2024, Gameloft revealedDisney Dreamlight Valley’s free content roadmap for the first half of 2025. The first two images of the roadmap suggested that Aladdin, Jasmine, andcharacters fromAlice in Wonderlandwould join the game’s roster in its first two updates of 2025.

This proved to be true, giving the theory that the roadmap’s third image of Skull Rock will lead toPeter Pancharacters joiningDisney Dreamlight Valleymore weight. Hopefully, Tinkerbell will fly to the Valley in this coming update. Nevertheless,The Sims 4may have a head start on fairy content, butDisney Dreamlight Valleyseems not to be too far behind.
