The double dungeon hosted some powerful creatures, and was classified as an S-Rank dungeon. Many of Jinwoo’s team died there when they encountered the giant statues. The ones who did survive, did so thanks to Jinwoo’s wit, as back then, he was one of the weakest Hunters out there.
It’s in the Double Dungeon that the System was first introduced to the story. On the edge of death, Jinwoo was chosen and saved by the System. After that, he unlocked the ability to level up, which is what got him to the level he’s currently at. Leveling up is something only he can do.
Ever since then, Jinwoo has utilized the System in various ways, such as checking stats, buying items, and so on. This System remains a huge mystery in the anime so far, but the secrets behind it will be unveiled in Solo Leveling Season 3.

All this has to dowith the Double Dungeon arc, where Jinwoo will make his way back to this location, thanks to an invitation by Kandiaru. Jinwoo, now over level 100, is not going to struggle in the Double Dungeon like he did once. Kandiaru’s real identity will unveil the mysteries of the system, as he is known as the Architect, given that he is the one who designed it.
