Summary

V Risinghas received countless updates since its original release, though whilethe game gets more content, the magic the player unlocks through defeating V Bloods has remained mostly the same. This isn’t a bad thing, however, as the assortment of magic inV Risinghas its benefits depending on what the player is fighting.

With several schools of magic for the player to plunge their fangs into, not all the schools are created the same, with some containing stronger spells than others. With so many spells for the player to choose from and only two slots available at a time, these are by far the strongestV Risingspells.

Bone Explosion in V Rising

8Bone Explosion

Damage Multiple Foes With An Explosion Of Bones

Starting off strong, Unholy Magic has some of the best spells available to players due to the Condemn status that applies to enemies. Those hit by Bone Explosion don’t only take the original magic damage, but also have the Condemn status applied to them. This causes them to take even more damage from the player, as well as possibly spawning a skeleton on their death.

Therefore, by having a spell like Bone Explosion which can damage multiple foes at once, players canincrease the number of skeletonsthey spawn also.

A Projectile That Damages And Heals

Some ofthe strongest spellsinV Risingare those which not only benefit the player but also their allies. Sanguine Coil is a great option for damaging foes due to each projectile dealing 80% magic damage and draining 30% of the foe’s health, while also applying leech.

Players don’t only need to aim at enemies with this attack, as hitting an ally with Sanguine Coil heals them by 120% and the caster for 20% of the player’s spell power. This makes it a perfect option for clutching intense moments during battles with V Bloods or even PvP. Since players also have 3 charges, they can focus two on enemies and the third on an ally for the best use of it.

6Death Knight

It’s Good To Summon Support

Another Unholy Magic option that’s a strong spell for players to consider once they have unlocked it is Death Knight. There are multiple ways for the player to build their vampire, with one of the most popular being some sort of conjuror. As seen from the Condemn effect, players can summon skeletons from the enemies they have defeated.

With Death Knight, players don’t need to worry about defeating a foe, as they can instead just summon a large undead knight. For the six seconds they are around, they attack any enemy close to them for 50% magic damage while also condemning foes, which gives the player a chance at more skeletons.

5Ice Nova

Damage Foes While Freezing Chilled Enemies

Many of the V Bloods inV Risinghave players dealing with hordes of enemies while also attempting to attack the boss. Thankfully,V Risinghas provided players with an assortment of crowd-control spells such as Ice Nova that can easily give players a break during some of the most difficult battles.

As the name of the spell suggests, Ice Nova conjures a circle of ice that attacks all within it for 150% magic damage. This nova then radiates outward, inflicting the foes with Chill, which has the chance of freezing those it hits if they had already had Chill on them.

4Aftershock

Attack All Enemies That Are In A Line Ahead

Ignite is another status inV Rising that is incredibly beneficial to the player due to the extra damage it does to an enemy. Chaos Magic, as a player would expect from the name, is perfect for those that wish to cause mayhem on the battlefield, with any hit from this magic causing an enemy to burn for an extra 5 seconds of magic damage.

Unlike the other magic mentioned, Aftershock attacks enemies in a line away from the player, causing each foe ahead of them to take damage. With 140% magic damage done in a line, players have the chance of dealing with multiple melee foes at once, while also having the reach for those that attack from a distance.

3Spectral Wolf

A Wolf With A Chance Of Hitting Multiple Foes

Returning to projectile spells, Illusion is an interesting school of magic withplenty for players to experiment with. While some projectiles have multiple charges, Spectral Wolf instead has a projectile that has the chance of bouncing between enemies up to twice. While the next two hits from the spectral wolf don’t do as much damage as the original, every enemy the wolf hits is weakened as well as giving the player a stack of Phantasm.

Weaken is already a great effect due to it reducing the amount of damage done by the enemy that is subjected to it, while Phantasm reduces the spell cooldown, which gets quicker and quicker until there are ten stacks of Phantasm on the player.

2Void

Drag Enemies To Its Center

One of the strongest spells inV Risingis another that can be found within the Chaos School of Magic. Void doesn’t only deal an immense amount of damage in an area, it also pulls those within it to the center to verify they take the damage.

Besides this usual damage and casting Ignite on them to burn for even more, Void can also be easily paired with other spells to pull a bunch of enemies into a group and then use a different spell to charge through them for extra damage. This is especially useful for dealing with groups of enemies.

1Blood Rage

Increase Attack And Movement Speed While Healing

Returning to the Blood School of Magic, some of the earliest skills the player can unlock are also some of the best, especially if they can be paired with the melee options of the game. Blood Rage may not do any actual damage, unlike the other spells mentioned, but it definitely deserves a place up there.

When cast, Blood Rageheals the playeras well as any surrounding allies for 65% of the player’s spell power. Alongside this, Blood Rage also increases the player’s attack speed by 25% and movement speed by 10% for 4 seconds. Leech also makes an appearance for some extra health, making it perfect for any melee build.
