How To Start the Tears of the Savior Quest In Oblivion Remastered
To start this quest, you mustfast travel to Leyawiinand make your way to the Mage’s Guild. You canjoin the guild by speaking to Dagail, but for this specific quest, explore the rooms until you come across aKhajiitnamedS’drassa. He’ll mention that he’s looking for crystals known asGarridan’s Tearsand ask for your help in locating them, officially beginning the quest. Speak with him again, and he’ll direct you toJulian Fanishat theArcane Universityin theImperial City, who might have more information about the Tears.
Fast travel to the Arcane Universityand speak with Julian, who will share a good amount of detail about the Tears. She’ll suggestvisiting the First Edition bookstore in the Market District to locate a book titledKnightfall.After buying and reading it, you’ll learn aboutRefined Frost Salts,which Julian conveniently sells. Purchase all of them, then head to Bruma. From there,ride southeast on horseback until you reach Frostfire Glade. Once inside, fight through any enemies you encounter as you advance toward the inner entrance.
Do keep in mind that this door will only open if you have the Refined Frost Salts on you.
Where to Find Garridan’s Tears in Oblivion Remastered
Inside Frostfire Glade, you will encountera Frostfire Atronach Glade Guardian, who is weak to fire damage and immune to frost. If you have anyfire-based Magicka spells,attempt to keep your distance from the guardianand continuously chip away at its health bar.
Continue forward and stop when you reach a large rock formation at the center.Make sure you’re facing northeast on your compass when observing the rock. You’ll find the first Tear at the base and the second further up.Return to your initial spot and start walking northeast, watching the ground carefully to locate the third Tear.Then, move east to find the fourth, and finally, go south to collect the fifth Tear, which is near some plants.
With all the Tears in your inventory,return to S’drassa in Leyawiin.He’ll be pleased with your success andreward you with a sum of Gold based on your character’s levelat the time of completion.
