7Monster
Monster Has Been Providing Jolly Songs For Shanks And His Crew For Many Years
By this point in the story, fans have a good idea of who the members of theRed Hair Piratesare and what each of them brings to the table, but Monster remains to be perhaps the most mysterious of the lot. This quirky monkey has been the musician for Shanks' crew for quite a while, and though he hasn’t been given much screentime, the fact that he has entertained this hardened batch of pirates for so long makes it clear he has a knack for creating good music.
Shanks isn’t the type of guy to let just anyone join his crew. For someone to be seen as worthy, they need to be the best of the best, and Monster clearly has what it takes to keep his captain jolly, considering how long he’s been aboard the ship.
6Conis
A Talented Harp Player Who Tries To Bring Joy While Under Enel’s Tyrannical Rule
Conis is a member of the Sky Islands whom Luffy and the gang come across pretty early on in their adventure across Skypeia. Though she seems very happy and joyful when playing her harp, it soon becomes clear that the reason Conis is trying to bring smiles to people’s faces is because of how much stress everyone is under as a result ofEnel’s tyranny.
Because much of the Skypeia arc is dedicated to taking down Enel and all of his monks, Conis only gets to show off her delicate musical skills very briefly, but it’s enough for her to prove she’s someone who excels at filling people with hope and spirit with her beautiful harp melodies.
5Black Maria
The Spider-Like Tobi Roppo Is A Skilled Shamisen Player
Though Hiyori is usually the one who can be seen plucking the strings of the shamisen throughout theWano arc, Black Maria, a feared member of the Tobi Roppo, would also demonstrate that she too can play the traditional instrument. Despite her frightening appearance, Black Maria is more than happy to play some soothing and relaxing jams for her devoted followers to enjoy.
Before Black Maria was defeated by Nico Robin and Brook, she was renowned across Wano as a very talented shamisen musician who would even break into song every now and again. While her incredible strength is the major reason Kaido brought her into the Tobi Roppo, it’s likely he also wanted to simply hear some good music while he drinks away his sorrows.
4Hiyori
Hiyori Has Always Been A Lover Of Wano’s Music, Ever Since She Was Young
When Hiyori stillwent under the name Komurasakiin order to conceal her identity, one part of herself which she did still manage to retain was her love for music. While working under orders from the vile shogun Orochi, Hiyori would provide him with plenty of music from her shamisen to keep him satisfied during his grandiose banquets.
It’s eventually revealed that Hiyori has actually been playing the shamisen ever since she was young, which makes sense considering she was born in Wano to none other than Kouzuki Oden. Hiyori’s melodies can be heard far and wide across the nation of Wano, singing out songs of hope and determination in times of crisis.
3Brook
Nobody Plays Bink’s Sake Quite As Well As Brook
When Luffy and the others first meet Brook, the living skeleton is all by his lonesome, aimlessly wandering around with nothing to do. It is soon revealed that Brook was once a member of a crew that all sadly died a slow and painful death due to a deadly poison. As someone who provided music for his crewmates over many years, Brook would play the emotional Bink’s Sake in their final few moments, before his own corpse was unexpectedly brought back to life by his Devil Fruit.
Since then, he’s been singing and dancing aboard the Thousand Sunny asa Straw Hat.While he’s very comfortable playing the piano, as shown back in Thriller Bark, he also loves to throw out the violin every so often to provide a nice variety for his crew. Despite his tragic backstory, Brook’s music has gotten him through many tough situations.
2Apoo
The Scratchman Uses His Own Body To Create Fun And Vibrant Tunes
One Pieceis a series packed full of unusual characters, but Apoo might just be one of the strangest that Oda has ever created. His teeth take the shape of piano cords, allowing him to generate music by tapping on them. He will even use his music as a way to attack his enemies. Once his tunes enter a person’s ears, he’ll be able to land his explosive blasts.
Apoo was even able to host an entire concert for Queen and the Beast Pirates during Wano. Asthe DJ, he kept the party going for hours on end, until it was rudely interrupted by Luffy and the others. The fact that Apoo always talks in rhymes, as if his whole life is one big jingle, shows just how much of a music fan he truly is.
1Uta
The Popstar Uta Has Earned An Army Of Loyal Fans Through Her Music
Though Uta isn’t featured in the main story, making her debut in theFilm Redmovie, she is still considered a canon character, which is a big deal since she’s Shanks' daughter. Uta always wanted to be a popstar, and thanks to her Devil Fruit, the Uta Uta no Mi, she was able to teleport anyone who listened to her beautiful voice to a virtual space where no stress or fear is allowed.
This power did, however, end up making Uta a little unhinged as she soon tried to capture everyone inside the illusion, but there’s no denying that when it comes to producing hit songs, nobody can do it better than Uta. Uta is considered the most famous musician in the world ofOne Piece, with almost everyone being aware of her stardom. Anyone who hasn’t checked out Ulta’s songs fromFilm Reddefinitely ought to give them a shot, as all of her music does a good job at capturing the fun and whimsical nature ofOne Piece, while also standing on their own as something unique.
