Monster Hunter Wilds'2025 launch brought along millions of hunters ready to take on the latest monsters Capcom’s developers have cooked up. Capcom hasn’t been resting on its laurels, with additional content making its way via Title Update 1. With the return of classic monsters, new gear, and alimited-time spring event, those with busy lives will understandably want to acquire the exclusive event gear in the most efficient manner possible.
Capturing a monster will result in less time spent hunting, meaning hunters will need a supply of Tranq Bombs on hand at all times. While Tranq Bombs can be bought, the most efficient way to acquire them is to craft them, which requires both Sleep Herbs and Parashrooms.
Trading With Apar For Sleep Herbs
Earn Sleep Herbs Between Hunts
While the option to scour each map at one’s own pace is available, most hunters will want to spend their time hunting. Thankfully, asking Nata to request itemsfrom other villages will allow hunters to passively earn requested materials, desire sensor permitting. Sleep herbs can be obtained if the player asksApar from the village of Suja.
Given that Sleep Herbs are listed as a 3-star item when trading with Apar, players are likely to receive a fairly consistent stream of them between hunts.
Trading With Rysher For Parashrooms
Passively Obtain Parashrooms
Sleep Herbs aren’t the only ingredient in a Tranq Bomb; every hunter will also need just as many Parashrooms. Luckily, the trading system also allows players to acquire such fungi fromSild’s very own Rysher.
He provides a steady stream of Parashrooms to the player, although they won’t be as frequent as Apar’s Sleep Herbs since they’re rated at 2 stars instead of 3. Much like when players are trading with Apar, it remains a convenient way to passively earn materials in between hunts.
Plundering Parashrooms In Oilwell Basin
A Brief But Necessary Diversion
While the Oilwell Basin contains the fewest number of gathering points for Tranq Bombs, it’s nonetheless relevant to mention where hunters can acquire Parashrooms while mounting a Gravios or tracking down a Tempered Ajarakan. In area 12, hunters can find a single gathering point for Parashrooms.
The most efficient way to get there would be fast-traveling to the Pop-Up Camp in Area 13: Limestone Cavern. Simply exit through the tunnel into area 13, turn right, and head due north. The gathering point will be hugging the wall on the right side of the room.
Foraging For Parashrooms In The Ruins of Wyveria
A Dangerous Destination
While players are farming Fulgur Anjanath or waiting forthe Zoh Shiato appear, they have access to four different spots to gather Parashrooms. Having a pop-up camp set up in Area 6’s Remnant Grove can be risky, as it’s a common target for wandering monsters.
Fortunately, it’s worth the risk, as two of the four Parashroom spawn points are nearby! One is immediately to the west of the pop-up camp, while the other is due south. Head to the next level down to find the last two in Area 10.
Sleep Herbs Can Be Found In The Iceshard Cliffs
The Most Sleep Herbs In Any Biome
Along with anexciting raid boss, the Iceshard cliffs contain the most Sleep Herb gathering spots out of any map in the game. Starting at the pop-up camp in Area 15: Upper Corridor, head down the spiral staircase and grab the first Sleep Herb. Head straight from the bottom of the stairs to the opposite end of Area 15 and grab the herb hugging the wall.
Following that, head north through area 12, and look for the rise on the left upon entering Area 13. After gathering the two Sleep Herbs, fast-travel to the Area 6 pop-up camp. Exit the camp and head northeast; the last Sleep Herb will be on the opposite wall.
Wandering The Windward Plains
An Oasis Amid Danger
Whether it’s a sun-bleached day or amidst a fierce lightning storm, the Windward Plains are a vibrant biome full of collectibles and kaiju alike. While preparing for thearchtempered Rey Dau event quest, players can scour the Windward Plains for both parts of a Tranq Bomb all over the map. Starting from the pop-up camp in Area 13: Oasis, hunters can quickly gather a Parashroom just southeast of the camp, but still near the oasis itself.
Following that, head to area 3 via fast travel, and take the eastward exit that leads to area 1; the remaining Parashroom lies at the junction between both areas. Finally, area 10 holds the lone Sleep Herb on the map. It rests near the path towards the next zone, The Scarlet Forest.
Find Everything In The Scarlet Forest
Mandatory While Hunting Mizutsune
The Scarlet Forest contains everything a hunter will need to craft Tranq Bombs. Starting from Base Camp, head out towards the Area 6 pop-up camp, gathering the first of six Parashrooms. Head northeast through Area 6, and upon entering Area 12, the second Parashroom will be visible. The First Sleep herb lies southwest, and continuing to Area 7 leads the player to three Parashrooms, all located near the Area 8 pop-up camp.
Following that, head north to Area 8’s marshes for the last Parashroom. Fast-Travel to Area 18, and follow the canopy pathway to the southeast, making a counter-clockwise loop to the Rathian nest. It’s here that the last two sleep herbs can be found! It’s the perfect gathering run to pair with sometempered Mizutsune expeditions.
