Players can equip several accessories alongside their armor sets and gear to boost their overall character stats inOblivion Remastered. One of the best accessories for mage builds is the Mundane Ring, which lets you reflect 35% of the spells cast at you, while negating the damage for spells that do hit you by 50%. It’s not only a great accessory choice for mages, but also works well if you’re about to face other enemy mages. Here’s where players can farm for the Mundane Ring.
How to Get the Mundane Ring in Oblivion Remastered
Since the Mundane Ring is a random-drop item, players can try farming it in one of the caves across the map inOblivion Remastered. One of the best locations to try farming for the legendary ring isthe Crayfish Cave, located towards the east of the Imperial City. It’s a huge cavern filled with enemies and locked chests.
Before embarking on this adventure, ensure tohave enough lockpicks in your inventory, as you’ll need to open up several locked chests inside the cave. Theregular chests have at least a 10% chance of spawning a ringas loot, so they can be a reliable way of getting the Mundane Ring.
How to Farm for the Mundane Ring
Once you either have enough lockpicks or theSkeleton Key inOblivion Remastered, head to the Crayfish Cave andmake a quicksave before entering. You must save before entering the cave, as it’ll help you reset the loot inside chests on reloading.
Enter the cave system and head right. As you’ll be doing multiple runs of this cave, attacking the enemies for XP won’t do you any good. So, it’sbest that you ignore the enemiesby either running past them or using an invisibility spell. Once you reach the end of the cave, there’s a chest to the right of the cave wall that needs to be lockpicked.
After getting the first chest, slightly backtrack to the previous section and take a right to follow the winding caves until you reach an open area. There are four chests herethat you can open up to search for the Mundane Ring. Now, head further into the Crayfish cave to find another chest on the other side of the chasm.
Once you’ve got the final chest in this section of the cave, drop down the chasm and keep following the path towards the entrance, and this time head to the left. You’ll encounter a few chests here, with a door leading to theCrayfish Vents. This area is a series of connecting cave systems with several regular and boss chests that players can open up to find the Mundane Ring inOblivion Remastered.
Once you’ve completed your run, if you’ve found anything worth keeping, head outside the cave and wait for three days to respawn the loot in chests. If you haven’t found anything of value, simply reload the game to your quicksave and repeat the run.
