According to the press release earlier this year, the earthbending Avatar is quite interesting because, unlike Aang, who was called to bring equilibrium, this one is “humanity’s destroyer, not its savior.” The next Avatar after Korra is also a female who finds herself in a “dangerous era” involving “a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm.” However, she is not alone because she has a “long-lost twin,” and together, the pair “must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilization’s last strongholds collapse.”

However, it wasn’t as universally acclaimed as the first series,The Last Airbender.
