Summary
Henry Cavill is most widely recognized for portrayingSupermanin the DC Extended Universe, while also gaining significant fame for his role as Geralt of Rivia in theNetflixseriesThe Witcher. However, the English actor has recently disclosed that his mind couldn’t be further away from his monster-slaying days and has been devoted to another huge video game adaptation instead.
AsWitcherfans are well aware by now, Season 4 of the series will bring a very new face to its fantasy world as the skilled monster hunter that was Henry Cavill will now be replaced by a brand new Geralt of Rivia who is joining the team as Liam Hemsworth becomes the White Wolf. It certainly will be a huge change of pace for fans who have been so used to seeing Cavill as Geralt and believe only he can slip into those tight leather pants and don the steel and silver swords. Thankfully, Cavill has been kept far too busy lately to look back on what could have been, as the Man of Steel is involved in multiple projects, including Guy Ritchie’s upcoming thrillerIn the Grey, which is set to be released in 2025, and he is also starring in andexecutive producing projects related to theWarhammer 40,000franchise, a project close to his heart due to being a huge fan of the miniature wargame. However, he apparently still has time to watch some Netflix shows, with one animation in particular topping his list lately.
Henry Cavill Enjoys Arcane So Much, He Can’t Stop Watching It
In an interview withBBC Radio 1, Henry Cavill discussed how he first came across the hitNetflix seriesArcane, stating that journalist and critic Ali Plumb turned him onto the show because he knew how much he loved video games and suggested that he should give it a try. Cavill said that he loves the show so much, his wife now watches it with him. “I couldn’t stop watching it, and it got really late, and Natalie was going ‘right, we should probably go to bed’, and I was like, nope gotta keep on watching, and she was like, ‘yeah I’m with you, we should keep on watching’”.
“It’s amazing and I’m very thankful I was introduced to it or I may have missed it otherwise.”
It’s unsurprising that Cavill fell in love withArcane,as, like so many others, the animated show’s fantastic storylines, vibrant style and compelling characters like fan-favorite champions Jinx and Vi make it a binge-worthy treat. As hard as it is for any movie or TV show to be given the universal seal of approval by critics,Arcanemanaged it with ease on Rotten Tomatoes, attracting a fantastic 100% rating, with the audience score not far behind it at 96%. However, we hope Cavill has now caught up with season 2 of the series as well asArcane’s executive producers teased a spinoff featuring fan-favorite duo Vi and Caitlyn, who could have a romantic storyline explored.
