Pokemon TCGhas revealed Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus cards that will soon be available. They will be part of Black Bolt and White Flare, two sets to be released as the seventhPokemon TCGexpansion of theScarlet and Violetera.
Black Bolt and White Flare will focus on Unova, featuring cards of the 156 Pokemon introduced by Gen 5. The set will be released exclusively in Japan, and all the cards will have secret variants of tier Art Rare (AR) or higher. Black Bolt and White Flare will also add a new rarity called BWR (BW Rare), a type of Holofoil card with an elaborate pattern and an illustration of a Pokemon against a unique background color. Giving a further preview of what to expect from the upcoming set, new cards have been shown.
Poke Beach revealedthe Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus cards from the Black Bolt and White Flare sets. The trio ofLegendary Pokemon from Unovagot regular cards with illustrations by Nisota Niso (Tornadus), hncl (Thundurus), and Kasumasa Yasukuni (Landorus). While Thundurus and Landorus will be available in Black Bolt,Pokemonfans will find the Tornadus card in White Flare. The Pokemon also received Art Rare variants with artwork created by Kouki Saitou (Tornadus), Anesaki Dynamic (Thundurus), and Sie Nanahara (Landorous). The AR cards will have the same availability, with Thundurus appearing in White Flare, and Landorus and Tornadus in Black Bolt.
Upcoming Pokemon TCG Set Will Have Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus Cards
Black Bolt and White Flare will be released on June 6, featuring over 172 cards for fans to collect. Each booster box will come with 20 packs, which will come in two variants: the regular pack, with seven cards and two guaranteed to be Holofoil, and the deluxe, with 35 cards and one guaranteed to be AR rarity or better. That will be the next release after The Glory of Team Rocket, thePokemon TCGset that introduced new cardsfocused on the franchise’s iconic villains that hit the shelves in Japan on April 18.
Following the release of Black Bolt and White Flare, the nextPokemon TCGset to come out in Japan will focus on Mega Evolutions. Named Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia, the expansions will also be released as a single set that will add more than 126 cards. Meanwhile, players in the West are preparing for the release of theDestined Rivals expansion, which will arrive on May 30 with more than 240 new cards to collect.
