Oblivion Remasteredplayer ikeepcomingbackhaha shared a post with the community, saying that their character kept getting taller, and they didn’t know what was causing it or how to stop it. A brief video shows theOblivion Remasteredglitchin action, with the character walking around in first-person and towering over local guards patrolling the area. The guards have to comically crane their necks in order to even meet the player’s gaze, and the player lamented that it was difficult to fight enemies as a result of their height. Ikeepcomingbackhaha worried that by the time they were completing the final chapter of the main story that their character would be towering over the normally epic battle that unfurls.

Oblivion Remastered Height Glitch is An Old Oddity

Other players in the comments found this height glitch quite amusing, but several also shared helpful advice on the problem. As it turns out, this particular glitch is one that was seen in the original release ofOblivion, which was sometimes triggered by switching between first- and third-person perspectives. The glitch hasn’tchanged betweenOblivionandOblivion Remastered, and thankfully, there’s an easy fix.

As numerous players shared, all that one needs to do to get back to their usual height is toswitch toOblivion Remastered’s third-person perspective, manually save the game, completely quit out, and then re-load the save. It’s important to not use the “continue” option when doing so, as this may not fix the issue. Once a player follows this sequence, if they switch back to first-person perspective, the POV should look normal again.
