During the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, Capcom announced that it was working on an upgraded port ofStreet Fighter 6for Nintendo’s upcoming console. This version of the game, titledStreet Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition, will launch alongside the Switch 2 on June 5, and it will also be available on other platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. TheYears 1-2 Fighters Editionwill contain all the paid stage and character DLCs that were released in the first two years ofStreet Fighter 6’s post-launch support. The final upcoming character in the game’s Year 2 roadmap, Elena, will be included and released on the same day as this edition, as well.

Elena is very fond of nature and music, and she is a master of the Afro-Brazilian martial art known as capoeira. Like the real-world sport that it’s based on, Elena’s combat style is an unusual cross between fighting and dancing, and she primarily uses her legs to attack in the games that she appears in.
If Players Don’t Like Elena’s New Look, They Can Unlock Her Old Outfit Instead
Most of thereturning characters inStreet Fighter 6have received major new redesigns, and Elena will be no different. Capcom has confirmed that Elena will have a completely new look that “emphasizes both her grace and physique,” according to the company. At launch, she will be available in two different outfits; the first one will be her default look and the second one will be modeled after her attire inStreet Fighter 3: New Generation. to obtain Elena’s second outfit, players will have to max out their bond with her inStreet Fighter 6’s World Tour mode or purchase it individually by using Fighter Coins.
Alongside Elena’s release, Capcom will add a brand-new, Africa-themed stage toStreet Fighter 6called Reniala Remains.
A Patch Will Be Released for Street Fighter 6 on the Same Day that Elena Comes Out
On the same day that Elena is released as part oftheStreet Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition, Capcom plans to launch a major balance patch for the game on all platforms. This patch will make some adjustments to the 25 characters that are currently present inStreet Fighter 6, and it will include some new tweaks that’ll influence the systems in the game, as well.
Although Capcom hasn’t provided in-depth information about what this patch exactly contains, it has revealed that Elena will be available to the owners ofStreet Fighter 6’s Year 2 Character Passand Year 2 Ultimate Pass at no extra cost, in addition to those who purchaseStreet Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition. Those who buy either of these two DLCs will also unlock Mai Shiranui, Terry Bogard, and M. Bison as playable characters inStreet Fighter 6, alongside some drive tickets and custom character outfits.
