Because Master Schindel’s Toys can only be completed during the Into the Underworld main quest, players should prioritize it before moving too far along the main story. Master Schindel’s Toys Walkthrough
Master Schindel’s Toys is only available duringInto the Underworld, making it one of the game’s missable side activities. Players must trigger it while exploring the city of Kuttenberg. The easiest way to begin is by visiting the bathhouse and speaking to Adam, the owner. Adam comes and goes from the bathhouse consistently, but usually hangs out near the entrance at midday.
Ask Adam what he needs to sort out, and he explains that Goatskin recently stole valuable scholarly tools from Master Schindel, a respected academic. They’ll need to track down Goatskin to compete Into the Underground, so the next step is finding the bandit.
Find Goatskin
Goatskin does not make it easy to find him. The best place is inside a hideoutnear the bathhouse in Kuttenberg. As marked on the above map, they’ll need to find a barn with a ladder. Go up the ladder and travel across the wooden planks bridging two more houses. Then, players will see a wagon underneath an open window. Goatskin will be there.
If it is too late at night, Goatskin might be out prowling the streets, but he will return if players wait till morning.
Ask Goatskin About Schindel’s Toys
Players must ask Goatskin about Schindel’s Toys, but he’s not wholly willing to give up what he knows. Players will need to bribe him or pass a Skill check. He tells Henry about a map he hid on a dead man’s body hanging in the Kuttenberg Gallows.
Find the Underground Map
Once players learn about the stolen goods, they’ll be directed toward the Kuttenberg gallows on the city’s eastern edge. A platform at the gallows contains a staircase that leads up to a hanged thief. On his body is the Map of Kuttenberg Underground, which reveals where Goatskin stashed Schindel’s items.
Reading the map in the inventory will mark a new point of interest on the player’s map, located beneath the city. The underground network is confusing, but players can avoid getting lost with the proper instructions.
Find Schindel’s Toys Underground
To locate the stash, players should enter the Kuttenberg underground tunnels. Multiple entry points are accessible through shop basements if the player hasa high enough Lockpicking skill. The best route for those without Lockpicking abilities is through the southern tunnel entrance.
Search the Tunnels for Master Schindel’s Toys
Once inside the underground, players should proceed straight until they reach an archway and a left turn. Go through the archway and follow the path deeper into the tunnels. Eventually, players will find a room full of barrels and chests. Pass through the room, heading north, and up the ladder when it dead ends. Then, take a right and go past the corpse lying on its stomach, following the hall north.
Then, maintain a straight path until you reach the Smuggler’s Warehouse. Go down both ladders and keep walking straight. The stash is inside a barrel in front of a dead end.
Return to Schindel
Players will find the following in the barrel:
